Keswick
Keswick is in the western Lake District, in Cumbria. It is a popular tourist destination and provides a huge range of shops to satisfy the needs of even the most ardent outdoor enthusiast. It is next to the picturesque Derwentwater.

There are also a good selection of things to do in Keswick, with plenty of bars and restaurants, and also tourist attractions, including the Cumberland Pencil Museum, and the ancient nearby Castlerigg Stone Circle. There is also a new (April 2009) Bond Museum.
It is also the closest major town to Skiddaw, the fourth highest mountain in England.
