The North York Moors is the smallest of the National Parks. It provides a scenic holiday destination throughout the year, but especially in August and September, when the purple heather is in bloom. The moors are home to a variety of birdlife, including curlews, golden plovers, and merlins.
The North York Moors has a 1400 mile network of footpaths and bridleways ensuring right of access to all.
