Garth Duncan started making jewellery in 1972. Although he is best known for his Ancient Celtic knotwork and Pictish style, he has also designed and makes many modern pieces. As a jeweler, he deals in fine diamonds, every kind of high quality gemstone and fancy setting techniques. He alloys his own gold and silver, works in platinum and a non-allergenic white gold alloy that is so white it needs no electro-plating.

It has taken many years to learn and perfect the many methods and disciplines required to take traditional art work and diverse projects to a fine jewellery level. Garth’s level of expertise has prompted much interest in custom-made bespoke jewellery and knives. Many customers have commissioned very elaborate items, from traditional Scottish Sgian Dubh, unique wedding and engagement rings to a 5 foot staff made of 5,000 year old bog oak. Garth welcomes new and challenging commissions and will work with each client’s specifications and budget.
