Brittany
In Brittany, there is a very strong Anglo Saxon culture, and the residents are very historic and cultural, which makes for an excellent holiday of seclusion and relaxation. If history is more your idea of a good holiday, Normandy has some excellent historic sites to visit, ranging from ancient stone monuments to WW2 battlefields and graveyards.
Pays de la Loire
Pays de la Loire can provide both historic castles and beautiful scenery in the form of river valleys and intensely green and luscious surroundings. This area has long been the summer home of both French and Foreign Royalty due to its perfect landscapes and scenic views, so has many impressive Châteaux (Castles)
