The South West is famous for the coastal resorts of Biarritz, once a favourite holiday spot for British royalty, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Capbreton, Hossegor and Vieux Boucau; and also the major towns of Lourdes, still a major destination for pilgrims, Auch, Tarbes, Pau and Dax; but it is also the host to many charming medieval villages, mountain streams, breathtaking views and lovely valleys.

For the more sporting, the real South West is famous particularly for Golf, Fishing and Skiing - the first golf courses in continental Europe, the best Salmon and Trout rivers in France and the Pyrenees skiing slopes. But there are also many other sporting and leisure activities from Casinos to Thermal spas, so there really is something for everyone in this spectacular region.
