The Costa del Almería is a stretch of coastline in the Almería region of Southern Spain. The region is Europe's only desert, and has been the setting for several Western films, including “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” and “Fistful of Dollars”. This has meant many tourist areas have popped up since the 1960s and the area has become very popular with visitors due to the great weather and high temperatures. The area is also home to several endangered species of plant and animal, so is great for nature enthusiasts.
