The county of Gwynedd is in the north-west of Wales, and contains most of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The county offers imposing mountains and valleys, fast slowing rivers, forests and castles including Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bordered by the Irish Sea, along Gwynedd Coastline you can find glorious sandy beaches, with safe swimming and quaint coastal resorts. Once of the most scenic resorts is Barmouth/Abermaw with a large sandy beach and harbour, ideal for families and watersport enthusiasts. A popular modern resort is Abersoch, with a busy beach and vibrant village centre. The village centre offer traditional seaside shops, restaurants and a sailing and watersports centre.
Railway Trips
A popular attraction is the railways; The Ffestiniog Railway takes you on a 13½-mile journey from the harbour in Porthmadog to the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Welsh Highland Railway, a spectacular 25 mile scenic journey from beneath the castle walls at Caernarfon.
