The Loire Valley is an area of France located along the river Loire, which runs from the south central to the mid west of France, through the centre. This area is renowned for its intense beauty and spectacular scenery, with the deep river valleys and the river itself creating an atmosphere of calm and awe.

The region is popular with tourists looking for a nice relaxing break, and also people looking to take kayak trips down the river. There are many fine wines grown in the area, and it is also very famous for the Châteaux along the river. Many of the royals of both France and other countries have hcose to make their summer homes here, and this has meant that many huge castles and mansions have been erected over time along the banks.
