Character Farm Cottages offers five traditional self catering holiday cottages situated on our beautiful working dairy farm situated on the stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast between the seaside town of Weymouth and Abbotsbury.  We run the farm and accommodation as a family, and the family environment keeps many of the guests returning year on year and generation after generation.  Our cottages are affordable, well maintained and rated four stars by the English Tourist Board.  We pride ourselves in always meeting our guests and ensuring everything is to their satisfaction.  Our cottages sleep between 2 and 5 people and are available for weekly holidays through out the year and for off season short breaks, ideal for families, group get-togethers and romantic breaks.

The cottages all feature traditional features including wooden beams, inglenook fireplaces and cozy log fires.  They are comfortably furnished and well equipped for modern day living.  Sheets and linen are all included in the price.  Walled gardens provide privacy and there is ample parking space at each cottage.  We welcome children and pets and we provide free wifi should you need to catch up on work.

We have four cottages situated on the western edge of Langton Herring:

The Swallows - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4.

The Sycamores - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5.

The Willows and Brambles are each 1 bedroom cottages and sleep 2.

3 Lower Farm Cottage - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5.

There are 2 excellent pubs nearby - The Elm Tree in Langton Herring is within walking distance and the Kings Arms in Portesham is a 1 mile drive.  All our cottages are surrounded by our beautiful farmland and you will be spoilt for walks - the Coastal Footpath runs through the farm.  The seaside town of Weymouth has a beautiful sandy beach and clear shallow waters and is ideal for children.  The market town of Dorchester is a 15 min drive away and the recently opened Brewery Square with a cinema, restaurants and shops is worth a visit.
