Built in 1731, Malta's national theatre is also Europe's third-oldest working theatre.
Commissioned by the Grand Master of the Knights of Malta - António Manoel de Vilhena, this theatre is now Malta's national theatre. Probably a quarter of the size of most European theatres , this pocket-sized jewel holds performances in both English and Maltese.
