El Camino Del Rey- El Chorro Gorge, Spain
El Camino Del Rey- El Chorro Gorge Loch, Lake, Waterfall in El Chorro Malaga, Andalucia, Spain
A narrow, man-made path located along the walls of El Chorro, a gorge in southern Spain
El Chorro is a breathtaking gorge formed by the river. 200 meters high, with a narrow opening leading to the reservoir now formed by the new dam.
A arrow, man-made path that is suspended along the sides of a gorge and contours along the walls of this narrow, steep sided cleft 100m above the river below. The pathway has gradually fallen into disrepair although it is used regularly by climbers to access the multitude of climbs that line the walls of the gorge.
In June 2011, the regional government and the local government agreed to share costs of restoration (including car parking and a museum) of €9 million. The project will take approximately three years to complete. Many of the original features will remain in place and the new materials that are used will be in keeping with the old design
