J M Barrie's Birthplace Visitor Centre or Museum in Kirriemuir, Angus and Dundee, Scotland

This cottage is the birth place and home of the famous author and playwright, Sir James Matthew Barrie, who created Peter Pan.  It offers the opportunity to see first hand his first theatre, important memorabilia and original manuscripts. The Peter Pan garden is open all year round, which includes a Pirate’s Workshop and Santa’s Grotto in mid-December.  During the summer months there are many events, with many specifically aimed at children.  They are given the chance to be involved in arts and crafts or dress up as Peter Pan and other characters.
