Avon Vale Self Catering Cottage Woodgreen New Forest - Eco Friendly Pet/Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage for romantic breaks in Woodgreen, Hampshire, England

Welcome to Avon Vale self catering cottage in the New Forest.

Avon Vale  is a detached cottage nestled within the woods of the beautiful New Forest National Park in the picturesque  village of Woodgreen.

Actually situated on the Avon Valley Path in the New Forest National Park, this is an ideal base from which to explore the New Forest with beautiful walks in every direction on your doorstep & local rivers for wild swimming .

 In the cottage there are OS maps of the local areas to help you explore.

The cottage has a good sized lounge with an oak floor,  cosy wood burner & double doors leading out to the private patio. There is  Humax (freeview) tv , digital radio & dvd player in the living area

The kitchen is well equipped with double electric hob and amicrowave oven. There is a newly refurbished shower room and a double bedroom. 

Outside is a small private patio area with table and chairs, also guests have access to a large shared woodland garden and lawn with table and chairs to use backing onto private woods where deer can be seen in the early morning. Perfect for bird watching.

In the summer there is a bbq & utensils available for guests to use, plus a small portable one that can be taken to the beach,

Woodgreen village has an excellent  traditional pub (dog friendly) serving very good food  and also has a wonderful community shop with post office selling a large range of local produce  and stocks an excellent variety of wines and beers making it very possible to not have to use your car once you are here.

As well as being perfect for walkers with or without dogs, Woodgreen is also very well located for beaches,  fishing and golfers.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome and there is no extra charge for bringing them

Please note -we do need to be notified before booking as to what pets you are bringing and regret we cannot take very young puppies anymore or more than 2 dogs without prior agreement .

All logs, kindling and firelighters are supplied for the wood burner. 

Due to requests we offer a £20 discount if you would like to bring your own bed linens and towels (all other bedding still provided)

The cottage is available for weekends and short breaks. Weeks can be split all through the year as well as weekly stays. Due to the nature of spliting weeks to suit prices are on request.
