A very comfortable owner-maintained, spacious and light holiday apartment for maximum of 2 people. Children (who count as 1 person) must be 10 years or over. This is the South Central area of Dublin City. It has a fully equipped and newly remodelled kitchen (a myriad of appliances!) , sitting/dining room, large double bedroom, (new for 2018) bathroom and cloakroom (extra loo and WHB), balcony & shared garden so technically 1.5 bathrooms, not 2!

In a quiet complex in Ailesbury Road, the tree lined embassy area of Dublin 4, straddling Ballsbridge and Donnybrook, the aim is a home from home experience. As this is the owner's own holiday home it is unusually well equipped (you only need arrive with clothes and toiletries!) and is very cosy. There is a large lawned area, bounded by trees if you want to sit out in the summer.

This is ideal for couples wanting a week in Dublin, visiting academics or business people needing a quiet relaxing place to stay close to the centre and the universities and for anyone wanting to escape hotel life and have their own space. There is easy access to central Dublin either by the buses which run about every 5 minutes or by walking which takes about 25 minutes to St Stephen's Green. The Dart railway is 1 mile away at Sydney Parade at the bottom of Ailesbury Road and from here you can explore the coast both north and south or link the main line railway stations from trips onwards.

Our flexible start dates allow for month long stays or weekly stays starting any day of the week, subject to availability.
Near to rte montrose, St Vincent's Hospital and Belfield Campus UCD. Tourists' Dublin is a walk or a short bus ride. The Wicklow mountains are an easy drive.

The minimum stay is 7 nights and because I maintain it myself (I travel over from England to do this jigsawing stays between my holiday let in the Cotswolds) stays normally need to be booked a month or so in advance.  No small children as this is a very quiet block, predominantly occupied by retired people who like the quiet ambience to prevail. Stays of 4 weeks and over are discounted. Maximum 2 people, one of whom may be a child over 10.  

 There are no extra charges. Wifi Access and parking is offered free of charge. Also telephone for 100 minutes of free calls/week.  I favour mature couples as the block is mainly occupied by quiet retired people who do not take kindly to noisy visitors! Booking procedure: You enquire.  I answer within hours unless I am unavoidably away from all devices (like on a plane!). If you decide to book I send you an online booking form and my terms and conditions which can be agreed to online. 25% deposit confirms the booking and the balance is payable 12 weeks in advance of arrival.  Lets are usually from 12 midday to 12 midday but I can sometimes be flexible with arrival and leaving times.  Payment by international bank to bank transfer, currency transfer service or Irish cheque. 

Reviews can be found on major listing sites, principally vrbo and I am new to Trip Advisor so there are few there.
