Oakfield B&B. Home comforts with heritage all around. Paul and Heidi welcome you to their 4 star, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at Oakfield B&B, Blaenavon. Oakfield B&B is situated in the heart of the Blaenavon World Heritage Site in Wales.
This Visit Wales 4 star rated bed and breakfast is situated the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Other attractions within walking distance include the historic 18th century Ironworks and the National Mining Museum of Wales at Big Pit (Pwll Mawr). From Easter steam and diesel trains run by Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway volunteers arrive at a station approx. 100 yards from the B&B. ncn route 492 is also only 100yards away.
The surrounding landscape is excellent for both walking and cycling with many waymarked trails, including the Iron Mountain Trail. It is also popular with cyclists with the Abergavenny Festival of Cycling held nearby every year.
Paul and Heidi are volunteer rangers in the World Heritage Site and so can help you make the most of your stay.
The B&B has the following rooms:
1 double en suite
1 twin en suite
1 family room with private bathroom. Sleeps 4-5 people.
Each room has Freeview colour TVs with dvd player, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, soap and shower gel toiletries, towels, thermostatically controlled heating and hot water bottles for those really cold nights.

Breakfast is served 7:00 - 9:00 am. Guests are asked for their breakfast choices and time of eating on arrival as food is cooked to order. The menu choice varies from full cooked breakfast (1 egg, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, mushrooms, baked beans, tomato, toast and tea/coffee) with cereals and toast to lighter options, such as croissants, scrambled egg on toast, etc. Vegetarian options also available on request.
There is off road parking for up to 3 cars. We can also garage 4 - 6 motorbikes (depending on size and panniers). Pedal bikes can also be securely garaged.
